ysoi, i'm feel for you for being annoyed. i assure
you that i would not intentionally annoy you :) now
for others, i cannot speak. but what i will say is
that we are a sensitive group b/c of our variety. the
christian discussions rest on your butt about like
some of the others might on someone else's hindparts.
if we are going to get technical that way, i think we
would be better off abandoning the whole outfit.

a lot of what's discussed here coming from a secular
humanist worldview is offensive to me and stems from a
religion of its own...so am i gonna complain on
religious grounds? will we never discuss value-led
topics like gun control or aparthide? i mean, c'mon.

i think the religious irritation is frequently a
fascade and that we are actually annoyed by our own
beliefs being confronted. i don't think anyone here
wants to apologize for what they believe. are you
ready to? i'm surely not. confrontation is part of
life. offenses will come. how we deal with them is
what matters i think. can we forbear one another in
love?

i'm personally grateful for both. we could take apart
over the rhine in much the same way. karin's
wardrobe: light. the intense longing in their lyrics:
not light. if we're going for "light," we best be
tellin' otr to hit the road.

i'm sorry to hear that was ever expressed to you or
even felt by that person.

much like moulin rouge or french toast.

i'm sure other topics would fall under this list of
personal conversation. i'd wager we've violated those
norms as well. we flirt well with sexual activity but
will not bat our eyelashes at spiritual matters. it
doesn't make sense.

i tell you truly, ysobelle, that i do not mean this
directly at you or any other individual. it did,
however, seem apropriate that these bits were
juxtaposed.

take care,
