radiohead summed up by me

i would say that _the bends_ is the best pick to start with. the songs are
more straightforward, melodic, and many fan favourites are on this record,
such as "fake plastic trees", "(nice dream)", and "high and dry", usw.

_ok computer_ is a darn lovely record as well...two of my absolute favourite
radiohead songs are on this one ("let down" and "no surprises"). it's also
more of a "conventional" record, but it does push a few buttons of
experimentation.

_pablo honey_ is a typical early '90s, post-grunge rock record. there are a
couple gorgeous songs on there ("stop whispering", "thinking about you") but
it's not absolutely required. i like it, i own it, but it's definitely a
"first record".

i'm a fan of _kid a_. i don't listen to it much, and i do have to be in a
certain mood to listen to it, but it doesn't suck. it's also not the most
amazing thing they've ever done (imho). my favourites are "idioteque",
"optimistic" and "motion picture soundtrack" (although i prefer the acoustic
version of the last one).

as for _amnesiac_, it is beautiful. if you hated _kid a_, you probably won't
like it, but it isn't as "weird" as that. thom's voice steps back up to the
front, melodies are a little more apparent, and the songs are just great. my
favourites are "life in a glasshouse", "packt like sardines in a crushd tin
box", and "knives out"...the last of which sounds like old old circa-1995
radiohead!

hope that helped.

jillian.
