Re: Before OtR
There was also another 'Xian' band with the name Servant from Illinois in
the late 70's that Doug Pinnock from King's X played with. I hear they
weren't bad but I've never heard 'em myself.
IIRC Lindord, Ric, and Brian join the Oregon Servant after all but the Brocks
had left the band and the final album had already been done? I'm not aware
of any album that was recorded with the new linup. Was there one?
Another notable in the Oregon Servant was Matt Spransy who was one of the
people instrumental in starting up the Greenbelt fests.

Servant was originally from Oregon, though, weren't they? ISTR they were
involved in a commune somewhere in the Pacific Northwest for the longest
time, before they moved elsewhere, which was just before they put out
their last album or two. (Their last album had a different lead male
vocalist and different producers, so it never quite felt like a Servant
album, to me, though I definitely liked some of the songs.)
