RMC BBQ ver.8@C'stone

You are invited to the Eighth Annual Cornerstone RMC BBQ & Free Store

July 5, 2001 will be the eighth gathering of R.M.C.'ers at Cornerstone.

Why???? Because an event that draws participants from throughout the United States, Canada, and the rest of the world can be a whole lot better when you spot some familiar faces. Because a lot of us have made a lot of friends at Cornerstone, and it's nice to take a little time out from the schedule to be with them. Because there are a lot of folks following your stuff online who would like the opportunity to jump into the conversation. Because this is your chance to exchange your unwanted books, music magazines, CD's, music T-shirts, etc. for someone else's.

Who: If you can read this, you are invited. Although originally designed as a place for usenet newsgroup rec.music.christian (R.M.C.) regulars to meet face-to-face, participation has grown to include like-minded mail lists, many of which have strong ties to r.m.c. (Ya still gotta study up on r.m.c. to catch most of the jokes.)

When: Thursday, July 5, 11:30 a.m. until the music and seminars start back up.

There will be name tags with email addresses, a literature, tape and CD exchange, perhaps some awards (Chuck????), celebrities, shade, and lunch for the 65 to 100 on-line-types who show up.

Send an email message to rmcbbq at tollbooth_org if you know (or are pretty certain) you can make it. Include your name, email address, number in your party, where you are traveling from, and how you heard about the RMC, etc. BBQ/Picnic. We'll send out updates regularly.

Where: Look for the big party tent between Encore I and Encore II with the RMC-BBQ sign on the side. This is also The Phantom Tollbooth tent, and you are welcome to stop by any time for a cup of cold water and assorted repartee.

Menu: The deli run was such a success last year we are once more serving make-your-own sandwiches, chips, sodas, and bottled water. Donations are very welcome to cover the cost, and don't forget to bring something for the literature/tape/CD exchange.
