RE: suggestions, please...

Y'know, I almost said something about this book after seeing Don's comment
about the film version of _Johnny Mnemonic_. That film was produced by
William Gibson himself, I believe, which just goes to show that good
authors don't (necessarily) make good filmmakers; I was reminded of how
Michael Ende had his name taken out of the credits for _The Neverending
Story_, because he felt the film didn't do justice to the book ... but
then he let his name appear in the credits to the sequel, which just
sucked. And while I've never read David Brin's _The Postman_, I do find
myself wondering how he can be as positive about the film as he is. So
authors aren't always the best judges of the adaptations of their works.
