commerciality

>pardon me, but is 'more commercial and
radio-friendly' >a good thing?? this
>frightens me...

depends on the music's connection to the soul/ones
humanity. and on the songs.
Joshua Tree was "more commercial and radio-friendly"
than Unforgettable Fire.
Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, Wrecking Ball, OK
Computer, Mule Variations, Fumbling Towards Ecstacy,
were all "more commercial and radio-friendly",
whatever that means, than their predecessors, and all
great records in my opinion.
>I rank having to follow-up Good Dog Bad Dog along the
>lines of Brian Wilson
>trying to top Pet Sounds (what do you do after you've
>made one of the
>greatest albums of all time?).

high praise, but i know what you mean!
