Re: Over-The-Rhine Digest V3 #392

not that it really matters, but my top of the pops goes a bit like this:

TRAVIS - THE MAN WHO!!!!
coldplay - parachutes
david gray - white ladder
juliana hatfield - beautiful creature
radiohead - kid a
badly drawn boy - the hour of bewilderbeast
u2 - all that you can't leave behind
oasis - standing on the shoulder of giants (if only for the song "sunday
morning call"...the best thing in overblown theatrics since "long and
winding road")
belle & sebastian - fold your hands child, you walk like a peasant (if only
for "the model"...it makes me want to just ride my bike through ireland for
hours, and yes i know they're from scotland)
blur:the best of (because i'm not that huge of a fan to buy all of their
records, but it's nice to have the famous ones on a single cd)

pre-2000 records that i bought and enjoyed this year:
fiona apple - when the pawn... (too bad i didn't own this when i was going
through the breakup bollocks)
travis - good feeling (i am in love, i tell you)
over the rhine - amateur shortwave radio (yeah, i was out of the loop...but
"anyway" is worth the whole cd to me)

i don't see movies, they threaten me.

i caught "latter days" on tv last night, and as usual, like every other time
i hear it, it made me cry. *sigh* i hate that sometimes, can't listen to
that or "thankyou" (dido) without getting all blubbery...

peas and gloves,
jillian.
