Did you know that in 1996 there were almost 14,000 ballots tossed because of
discrepances such as double voting.  I never heard the democrats making a
stink about that.  They are only rasing hell because they know that they
lost and they are trying to change the election.  Look who they have down
there-Bill Daley.  A man whose father, as mayor of Chicago, helped Kennedy
win Illinois by getting dead people to vote.  Now, I'm sure that if the vote
were close and the Repbulicans were losing, they might call for a recount,
but at least they are letting the system work itself out, not saying "Gore
should win because the will of the people have spoken" (Daley)  Our
constitution set up an electoral college just for instances like this.  If
we based Presidential elections JUST on popular vote, then the large states
would be able to win the elections hands down and the smaller states would
be left in the dust.  The electoral college gives all states a say in the
process.
