I attended a writing workshop Saturday and the speaker used similar words.
She also said, " People who are the most successful have just failed more."
With few publications and many, many more rejections, I took those words to
heart.

Anyone who feels they have to write perfectly from the start should get their
hands on a copy of Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. I keep this book within
reach.

I missed what sparked this thread. Was it in reference to Linford
Detweiler's writing? As a new fan, I'm just now enjoying his work. I spent
last Friday exploring the writings on OTR's website. I've printed some,
including Personal Work. Loved that one.
