No harping here. I've done theology and philosophy enough to last a lifetime or two. I Understand the value of them, particularly in understanding the basics of our world views blah blah blah... I spend 40 hours a week around that sort of thing and have yet to figure out how any of it helps me get along with my wierd brother or helps me know what the heck I'm doing with my life, much less how to help others deal with their stuff. So, I guess I'm saying that I call it mental masturbation, not because it has no value, but because if taken with no real life context or application, it is pretty much self-serving and therefore useless. Unfortunately, that's how I see most of it

Do with it as you will...

so, harp, harp, harp. :) no need for either side of the big picture to
grumble against the other. and that extends out past christianity and out
past issues of theory and practice. over the rhine is such a great
conglomeration of beauty and hearty ideas. we discuss both on this list.
