what i thought was most interesting is that the web site confirmed what we've debated (whether it WAS happening and whether it SHOULD happen) on the list for a long time--whether karin and linford were becoming over the rhine.  and the web site clearly states that karin and linford ARE otr, and jack, terri, et. al. are mere contributors.  so in reposonse to mark's comment about linford asserting that a drummer was optional at this point...  i think that was exactly what he was asserting.  i don't know if anyone else found it odd that they have changed lineups so often, but now it makes total sense.  they weren't necessarily looking to create a new 4-piece otr to replace the original.  they were looking for musicians to help them for the time being.  
i don't know how i feel about the shrinking down of the band to just 2 people.  as long as i have been following the band, it's always been centered around them, but no one ever came out and said it until recenlty.  
nonetheless, i really like the new web site.  i liked reading k&l's writing and new lyrics, and i loved all the pictures.
does anyone remember last year sometime long before christmas when linford announced at a show (and someone posted to the list) that they had a big announcement to make that they would make at the christmas show unless karin let it slip beforehand...?  was that announcement the virgin/back porch thing?  or was there something else?  i just don't remember there being a big deal made about it...
anyway, back into the shadows,
