Slant & Mike Georgin

Slant and Mike Georgin were great this Saturday night and Sunday afternoon,
respectively.  Fun show, nice and jazzy.  I thought it was quite relaxing.

I'd never seen Slant at York Street.  It was nice.  A bit bigger stage than
I'd seen 'em play on at the Nite Owl in Dayton.  Plus I stayed for the
whole show.  The alien-song(s) were interesting.  I don't know if I'd heard
them play those yet.  And as AmyJoy pointed out, I think the guitarist is
paranoid... :)

Mike Georgin at Border's on Sunday afternoon was cool.  A lot more people
showed up than last time.  Last time it was Melissa, Bruce and myself-
period.  This time there was an abundance of listeners.  It was cool.
Plus, Mike's echoplex didn't crap out on him this time.

Additionally, I got to talk to Ashley Peacock a bit.  He and his gf were
down in Cincy all the way from Flint, MI.  I got his CD, too.  I like it.
He's trying to get to play Kaldi's sometime soon.  And York Street Cafe in
May.  I look forward to seeing him live.  He's a truly great person to talk
to and listen on record as well.  Go check his stuff out if the chance
comes up!!!
