Tonight was the annual Over The Rhine Christmas concert at the Taft Theater in downtown Cincinnati. Wendy & I attended as guests of the band with our friends Brian & Milan. The four of us met for dinner at SHANGHAI MAMA’s, a few blocks up…
This afternoon, Wendy & I ‘catered’ an annual event for Over The Rhine. After their Christmas Concert on Saturday, they host a smaller-scale acoustic show/meet & greet at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Norwood. Wendy & I take care of cookies, cheese, veggies, candy, soda, wine, and lots of other food-related items (napkins, cups, ice, etc). This year, we served nearly 400 glasses of wine, so we know the attendence was much larger than last year’s 200 (either that or this was an exceptionally thirsty crowd!).
The event was really nice, and the fans just adore being able to rub elbows with the band in such a beautiful, intimate setting.
No real dinner for us beyond what we could scrounge from the party.
