Re: listie stuff (slight OtR reference) & jay's autobiography, if you will...

hi all. in *real* life, it's kinda like this:

i am called the "Sr. CAD Design Enginer" at Johnson Stamping, Inc. (Plymouth,
MI) - an automotive stamping supplier for the auto industry (mostly Ford). i
sit in front of the tube & do 3D modeling for tooling, fixtures, and as of
recent, product design. other than that, i'm now a program manager for a
couple new Ford program launches we're doing. urm, i also raise my voice at
slouchy middle-aged men on occasion.
i live in Livonia, MI.

i was a designer at a prototyping company in Cincinnati before here... and was
a modelmaker at Kenner Toys before that (super-fun job, 1/4 of the pay!)
a long time ago, i also tried making careers drumming & doing calligraphy,
both of which are *so* much more fun the the others above - but nearly
starved.
i quite like making candles, too.

FAVORITE MOVIES:
The Usual Suspects, Fargo, Eraserhead, Harold & Maude, Clockwork Orange, The
Sound of Music, and what was the other movie that those Fargo guys did - the
Great Lumbowski? Labooski? oh you know - the bowling movie! It was great.

FAVORITE MUSIC:
Dead Can Dance, Loreena McKennitt, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, 16 hp, OtR,
Einsturzende Neubauten, Skinny Puppy, Will, Delerium, C.W. ADRV, Lycia, Dead
Voices on Air, GLOD, Leæther Strip, NIN, Mozart, Philip Glass, Combustible
Edison, The Birthday Party, O Yuki Conjugate, all the old 4AD stuff, many
bands on Projekt Records, lots of electro/goth/industrial/ambient, lots of
percussive ethnic music

FAVORITE BOOKS:
I sure like reading my bible when i do, but find myself reading more technical
manuals than anything else. i'm part-way thru _Mere Christianity_ by CS Lewis,
and i'm 55 pages from completing _And the Ass Saw the Angel_ by Nick Cave
(EXCELLENT book). i *love* ANYTHING by Edward Gorey - great stuff.

FAVORITE COFFEE:
_sumatra mandheling_, and all coffees that are strong, full & robust

FAVORITE PIPE TOBACCO:
_Captain Black Gold_ ...no matter how many others i try, i always come back to
it.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR:
_Autumn_

FAVORITE GUM:
i'm normally not caught without _Trident_ in *my* pocket.
