Belle&Sebby

I know I'm rather late in replying, but I just find it hard to cope with all
of this email that just keeps on coming.
Anyway, yes, my hand is raised for being an admirer of Belle & Sebastian.
I haven't got the album everyone seems to be talking about, but I do have "The
Boy with the Arab Strap" - ('why would a boy need an arab strap?' I pondered
until I discovered that an Arab Strap is a guitar, apparently), and "This is
just a Modern Love Song" - an EP that came out over here around Christmas
time.
I heard Belle & Sebastian first on Laura Lee Davies late night show on GLR, I
think she played "Sleep the Clock Around".
It's hard to describe their sound, but I think they are very melodious, funky
at times, fond of whimsical lyrics, and far too quiet rather a lot of the
time. I do wish they would pipe up, they've got nothing to be afraid of after
all.

As I write this I'm listening to AIR. Has anyone else heard this stuff. It's
dreamy.

Love ya
