2001 is a phenominal film, more really like a visual poem than cinema.  
I have to be immersed when watching it though.  I hated it when I was 
young.  I can't believe it was done in the 60s.  Star Wars looked like 
crap 10 years later.  Keir Dullea (aka David Bowman, the star of the 
film that wasn't the big black rectangle or the whack computer) is from 
Cleveland.  yet more useless drivel, courtesy of bruce's firing neurons 
and 10 digits.

I like any offbeat comedy, assuming it's actually funny and not just 
claimed to be by some third-world alternative paper reviewer.  "Waking 
Ned Devine" and "Waiting for Guffman" are both top rate.

(btw, I don't think 2001 is an offbeat comedy and am not implying that 
by posting this)
