The best thing that happened while I lived in Cincinnati was getting to know
the music of OTR. I was working at the Cincinnatian Hotel, and one of the
cocktail waitresses told me that everyone was going to see Karen and Linford
(who were singing and playing piano in the bar at the time) play with their
band. I think the first place I saw them was Sudsy Malones, or maybe that
place by the firehouse in Clifton (Arlins is it?).
I think people on this list are too harsh judging TWHF! I think RH really
sounded great in those days...
Been fortunate to hear them here in NY and a few times when visiting Cincy/
NKY, but my fondest memory is standing by the bar in Sudsy's, Christian
Morlein in hand, doing nothin but groovin to Sea and Sky played the way it
should be played... loud in a small room
