That "eventually" part is the kicker. I wouldn't do anything to piss off
your bride ON your wedding day. That day becomes frozen in time as a
landmark. Anything that happens that day will *always* be remembered.

Since you said "the song means a lot to me," I wouldn't push too hard.
If the song meant a lot to both of you, that would be different, because
that's what your wedding day is about -- both of you. Just imagine if
she wanted to play a song that didn't mean that much to *you* -- how
would you feel? What if she wanted your first dance to be A-ha's "Take
On Me" (for instance), wouldn't you say, "Well, you know honey, I know
you like that song and all... but, uh... couldn't we find something we
*both* like?" I think you get my point...

BTW, I just went through this last year, so I know where you're coming
from. I wanted to use "Rhapsodie." My wife did, too, but not as much as
I did. We both agreed that it was difficult to dance to anyway, so we
agreed on "It Had To Be You" which was probably more of "our song"
anyway. A nice part about it is that they'll play that song at other
people's weddings and we get to have one of those "romantic dance
moments" every time (everybody say, "Awww!"). You probably wouldn't hear
*anything* by OTR anywhere else, except at another listie's wedding ;)

Chris, you do realize that most receptions are only 5 hours long. Are
you sure you don't want something a *bit* shorter? Like
"Inna-Godda-Davida" peut etre? It's not dance marathon, you know!
