otr introductions
Speaking of Otr firsts, I was originally introduced to Otr through
TWHF, and with the exeption of the ever-so-short Cast Me Away, I
thought the disc was TERRIBLY boring -- worse even than 10,000
Maniacs. I was, however, convinced to go see them live by Chris
Pyle and Scott Bedell but my main motivation was that I heard the
lead vocalist was cute (hey...that's a college sophomore for ya!).
They blew my mind! Within a year I stopped listening to Heavy Metal,
Hardcore and Death Metal, and was into Over the Rhine, and shortly
after, Sixpense None the Richer, Vigilantes of Love, the Ocean Blue,
and the Innocense Mission. Though I love much of TWHF, I must say
that it has never captured me quite the way that Patience has. And,
I guess, since we were all talking 'bout fav's...here's my list, in
order;
1.) Patience
2.) Good Dog, Bad Dog
3.) Till We Have Faces (this and eve are close)
4.) Eve
5.) The Darkest Night of the Year
6.) Besides
