By saying "simplistic", what I'm implying here is an absence of affectation.
In other words "no bullshit."  I don't, in any sense of the word, mean that
OtR's lyrics are simple-minded.

This referring to the description of Eve as playfully seductive and/or
strongly desperate.  Just to reiterate - I love Eve, too.  That ain't the
question!  :-)

No.  I just find that rough, un-doctored recordings have the effect of making
the music feel very near and very "real."
