I tilt towards "bad thing", if you think America should be absolutely
uniform from coast to coast based on what a raw majority (which may or may
not be centralized in one particular region) thinks at any given moment.

And what evidence do you have that the individuals who comprised this
protest represent "the people" as a whole?
