Personally, I've never thought of myself as being afraid of heights, but I'm not sure I've ever been as terrified as when I was preparing to bungy off a 340 ft.-high bridge outside Queenstown, New Zealand.

Actually, I take that back. I was even more terrified right after jumping when I was convinced that I was about 3 seconds from dying.
