I assume it's a reference to the band Undercover, which was pretty big in
Christian circles in the '80s; they sort of tailed off in the '90s, though
their best album by far (IMHO, of course), called _Devotion_, came out in
1992, and they re-united for a concert at Cornerstone in 2000.

I was at that Cornerstone -- that was where I first saw Over the Rhine! --
but some doofus scheduled Undercover for the exact same time-slot as
Daniel Amos, and since DA has been my favorite band for years, I had to
forego the Undercover concert.  Ironically, though, the Undercover _Live
at C2K_ concert that M8 put out is easily one of the best discs in that
series.  It sounds like the band had a really cool show.  (The DA concert
was great, too -- the fulfillment of a life-long dream -- but listening to
that concert on CD is definitely a you-had-to-be-there experience.)
