I currently have a dog that found me last summer, just when I was getting
over the loss of my previous dog the year before. I was about to start
looking for a dog, when this stray showed up at work. She may be a full
blooded Australian Shepherd, or she might just be a mix. She was, at that
time, about a year old, spayed & housebroken. If you want to look, this is
my baby Tina's album:

I realize that your wife says no mutts, but I hope that you'll at least look
at the pound as an option, because there are often many purebred dogs there
as well. You might be able to save some poor dog's life.
