Hmmm, where I come from, they've always been one of the basic flavours --
as essential to potato chips as vanilla is to ice cream.

Did someone here say they've had salt'n'vinegar chips in their neck of the
woods for only a decade or so?  When I went to England eight years ago, I
stayed at a hostel in Oxford where I met a guy from Michigan who said he
loved salt'n'vinegar chips and wished they had 'em back home.
