Best 12 concerts in last 12 months?

Is that right?  Best 12 of last 12 months?  Anyway...  Here's a stab, 
essentially ranked.


TransAm - Metro, Chicago USA.  Fun, fun, fun.  Anyone else wanna go with me 
to NYC in Sept for the thrilljockey 10 year anniversary party??  TransAm, 
Tortoise, *everyone*!

Radiohead - Blossom, Cleveland USA.  They lived up to the hype and put on a 
great show.

Wilco - Bogarts, Corryville USA.  OK, this isn't until tomorrow, and it's 
sold out and I don't have a ticket, but I'll be there and it'll be great.  
"Every one is a setting sun."

Live - Riverbend, Cincinnati USA.  We scalped 3rd row seats to this, they 
headlined an awful array of craprock bands (Days of the New, etc) at a 
pseudo festival here.  They played at least three songs from each of their 
five CDs, and were great.  They retained my #2 band status..  OtR is gaining 
though.

Monk - Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati USA.  And not only because he 
smartly incorporated Duranduran into the set.

Peter Mulvey - Canal Street Tavern, Dayton USA.  And not only 'cos he spit 
on us or because he didn't know any Duranduran.

Robbie Fulks - Southgate House, Newport USA.  Can't believe he's from 
further North than me.

Over the Rhine - Taft, Cincinnati USA.  I think most of you have heard about 
this band already.

Midnight Oil - Bogarts, Corryville USA.  Awesome show.  They rock!

FakeBrain - Mole's Records, Cincinnati USA.  Very entertaining.

Homegrown - Bogarts, Corryville USA.  It was the first time I was sure that 
other than the parents accompanying their kids, I was the oldest person at a 
rock show.

Twilight Singers - Top Cats, Corryville USA.  Greg Dulli can be an ass and 
all, but he puts on a good show.

oh, and a bonus one just to piss Dan off:

Jason Arbenz - Southgate House, Newport USA.  I took Dan to this; I love 
Jason's voice but Dan despised it something fierce..
