really really angry about work (little otr)

so, because some girl who has NOTHING to do with the daycare fell and broke 
her ankle due to her platform thong sandals, my boss has deemed sandals of 
any kind (even my birkenstocks that's i've been wearing for three years 
straight) unacceptable shoes.

since, you know, my three year olds run fast enough that i can't catch them 
by walking.

anyway, i had to buy a new pair of shoes, because, being like rhys and liking 
to be barefoot, i don't OWN any shoes other than my sandals.  *grrr*

luckily i found canvas shoes at payless on sale, but i had to buy the a size 
too big to avoid the inevitable blisters i get when i *do* try to wear shoes. 
 and you know what?  i bought some strawberry shortcake shoelaces.  i think 
that's the only thing that makes all of this worth while.

sorry to vent here, but i just wanted to share.  don't you hate it when they 
change the rules after a long time, and say that it was ALWAYS in the 
handbook?  (fwiw, the handbook says no thongs or platforms.  i never wore 
those).

but i finished listening to the atlanta show, and i love *give me strength*, 
although i think i expected a rocking ending...
