YAY!

i saw them do training runs all weekend.

i went later on saturday down to the base, and watched them take off and
land for a while...

the roar is satisfyingly deep and loud. it seems like they've got stray
comets underneath their planes.

i like seeing them slice the air as they land and take off. when you're
not looking, you hear the engines announce themselves in the sky - but
when you look,  they're already gone.

we'll be too far  north for potatoes. but their cousins, the huckleberry
clan will definitly have visits from us.
