Re: on being crazy...
Howdy Strangers,
I've been on a sort of extended camping trip but still wanted to post what I
can accurately remember of my C-stone experience. I agree with you
Angealika that those young punks were incredibly annoying and outrageously
selfish. Even my stating that they were like a clown car without the car
and stretching out so that my feet were right next to their faces didn't
phase them. But enough negativity. It was an interesting experience
meeting Karen and Linford for the first time. They are both very gracious
and Linford is extremely witty- just like I imagined (I guess not all of
life is a dissappointment). I bought "Eve" 'cause I hadn't heard it in 6 or
7 years since I lost a tape that a former friend named Kim Warren had made
me (lost track of her), and they both signed it in cryptic form I might add.
I thought both shows were solid although there seemed to be a marked sadness
being that Jack would soon be a former neighbor. I enjoyed the daily
seminars as much as anything else. Attended one about risk taking, one
entitled "Mustard Seed vs McWorld", lectures based on the book of the same
title (which was surely inspired by the book "Jihad vs McWorld" which is a
very important work and excellant read) and one called "If God was One of
Us" which looked look at examples of Christ incarnate in the film, including
the ever talked about "Matrix" although I saddly missed that particular
lecture. Anywho, an very interesting time. C-stone seems to have
progressed quite a bit since I first (and last) attended in '94 I think it
was- whatever year they had a Mark Heard tribute concert and seminar I
think, where I first heard about Bill Mallonee. Anywho.
