Yes.  I love 80s movies.  The ones mentioned that
truly strike a chord are:

Real Genius
Say Anything
Breakfast Club
16 Candles
Can't Buy Me Love 
Dream a Little Dream 
Ferris Beuller's Day Off.

Real Genius is one that I actually still have my hands
on :)  Love Val Kilmer.  Too bad I was never Cher.
