that *does* seem a bit exterme.
but from one who hasn't had a birthday party given for since i was in 3rd
or 4th grade, it sounds cool (:
it's the gratuitous desire to be special for a day i guess.
i always wanted a party, but i was either away from home, we were moving,
or something.
i do think it's fun to give other people parties though.
some people just attract parties, others give them for themselves, and
still others attend.
