i like the way sand patterns your feet as the water
washes over them, the way an oyster po-boy lunch fills
your stomach when you didn't eat breakfast, how my
sisters laugh like we were all in gradeschool again
when we swim, waiting for the 'big' waves, how the
circle we formed slowly grows larger and distends with
each one of those waves until one of us yells hey!
