cake

a week or so after my birthday this year, cake was here in cincinnati at the 
taft theater (where OtR has been doing their christmas shows in town as of 
late).  so some pals got us all 6th row tickets for my birthday (get it?, 
birthday -- cake -- nevermind).  they're so clever.

anyway, john mcrae or whatever his name is seemed too full of himself, and 
he violated my rule of being kinda ugly and in a band.  but that said, 
they're show was good, someone else in the band is named xan which is cool, 
and their newest cd has some of their best songs ever.  i can't for the life 
of me imagine that "love you madly" wasn't a hit.  the world is a crazy 
place.  it's on the preview of the awesome looking jennifer aniston/jake 
gyllenhaal flick "the good girl", so maybe it'll be a hit years after they 
released it, like chris isaak's "wicked game" was.
