Has anyone read the non-fiction books, e.g., Dakota: A Spiritual
Geography, The Cloister Walk, etc. by Kathleen Norris?

Her treatment of spirituality might say something about our society's
pendulum swinging back, kicking and screaming, to an awkward embrace of
religious traditions, which, had been ignored, or viewed as
counterproductive.
