Unsung Ordering Information
Linford's first book has finally arrived. It's a small handmade book that was
lovingly printed on an old letterpress printing press. The words are embedded
in acid-free, archival paper. There are two Jay Bolotin woodcuts in the book
that were printed directly from the engraved wood blocks onto the page. (Jay
has had his work purchased for the collections of major museums including the
Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.) In UNSUNG, Linford attempts to ask
(and even answer) the questions that all artists ask sooner or later: Why do
we human beings write, paint, dance, act, sing? Does any of this beautiful
commotion really matter in the big picture? If so, why? How? Slowly and with
his signature knack for language, Linford invites us along as he feels his
way back and uncovers how he became a writer, illuminating for us all a world
we won't want to leave.
