I never heard it, but Lisa Germano, who used to play fiddle for John
Mellencamp, put out some solo albums.  I dunno if it's good or it fits
the violin-with-girl-singer-sometimes-upbeat bill, but I remember that
one album was called "Geek the Girl," which is a great title, and I
remember it getting decent reviews.  But I could remember wrong.
