non-OTR music question

Hi all...

I'm from Germany and mostly a lurker on this list.
But now I've got a question and I thought some of you might be able to help
me. A good friend of mine told me today that he's searching for a particular
style of music. Music with piano and violine and (preferably) a female
singer, that's not just slow all the time but also a little upbeat sometimes
(from the singers I know Tori Amos would be the closest to what he searches
but he already knows her).
As I'm just looking for a present for him I'm now also searching for such
music. Can anyone help me?
