Just to show how threads come together....Charlie Daniels played at C-Stone one year. I'm thinking it was like 98. But the years all pretty much blend in. We counted up that we have been at 17 C-Stones.
We will absolutely show up this year. I've got my speed dialer set to try and reserve an RV site this year. We just bought a truck camper last fall. If we get in and get electricity, everyone's welcome to stop in for a cooling off set. This little camper came with an A/C unit!
I best like the new band showcases we have gotten into so many bands through that avenue, not the least of which is OTR. Still have the candle from that show.
On an entirely unrelated note I watched A BUFFY episode last night and two of my major worlds collided. Giles was playing in a coffee house and singing "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. Buffy and The Who at the same time!
Side note: I think I'm about Buffy'd out. I have been watching the FX offering when they started at the beginning and am up to almost the end of season 4. For a show geared a lot toward teens, I think they are pushing the sex thing way to much. Giles and his occasional visitor, not to mention Buffy's mom. Buffy has had 3 guys in less than a season and one show was how all the cosmic force of her sex with Riley has released a bunch of poltergeists. Xander and Anya only missing 3 nights in like months and since they didn't do it last night Xander doesn't love her anymore. Willow with Oz (a wolf-is there a word for that?) and now with Tara. Is all this coincidental or are they trying to push an agenda? I did glimpse Riley grabbing a condom though. Is that supposed to be an attempt at appeasement?
