I don't know how I missed this 'til now, but Gibson Guitars today awarded 
their annual "Best Guitar Player" awards.  Madonna was nominated in the Les 
Paul Horizon Award (Most Promising Up and Coming Guitarist) for her guitar 
work on her last US tour.  The nominees in the category:

Michelle Branch
Chris Thomas King
Juanes
Madonna
John Mayer
Pete Yorn
