The Phoenix Hill show was indeedy very swell. I was a
bit disappointed when I heard on the WFPK interview
that it would just be the trio. But, once again,
things that matter with other bands just don't matter
with our fine friends. They were just spanky.
Karin sat throughout the entire show and my friend and
I were speculating as to why? Was it because she's
weak from the flew. Was it because she was doing that
unplugged acoustic trio thingy. Either way, it did
not at all compromise the physical energy she
typically has.

Good songs. It's strange...a new album by them has
become somewhat anticlimactic beacause we've pretty
much heard most of the new stuff. I like the Jesus in
New Orleans bit a lot. I just wish Karin had clearer
diction when she sings live, although I think that
might be a the expense of her amazing tone and style.

And I hope she does. Like her a lot especially her
voice. Back in the day a buddy gave me a cassette
copy of an Ocean Blue album and on the other side was
a copy of an album by some girl named Lori
Lozia...Lori Loscia...something like that from
somewhere in the midwest. It was good and I lost it.
Kim reminded me of her.

She ended up sitting next to me. I thought it was sad
also. What's going on with this lady that makes her
want to do this. But my compassion was quickly
replaced with annoyance. She was a little
disctracting, even to the band. I hated when she
interrupted Karin's story about Jack getting into a
fight. "You just gotta rise above it" she said and
Karin repeated. The story went unfinished.
I did like when Jack yelled at the noisy PHT people
during 'Latter Days' and told them to take their
conversation elsewhere.

Fred talks real good.

It was fun and good but not long enough and they
didn't do When I Go or Give Me Strength or Go Down
Easy or Beat It but that's okay.

Have a day.
