             I'm assuming you're not counting Over the Rhine stuff among the potential pop song pool.  And by pop, perhaps you mean stuff that might get played on MTV?    I'd have to say Ojos Asi by Shakira  is my very favorite song on her new album Laundry Service, which is my favorite pop album of recent months.  As for the singles from that album, I guess Whenever, Wherever would be my pick.  Also, Fallin' by Alicia Keys and The Space Between by the Dave Matthew's Band.  And if that doesn't count as pop, then Hands Clean by Alanis Morisette.
