hell, michigan & may-as-well-be-heaven, california
hi all,
i lived in hell, michigan for two summers! i worked at a
summer camp for inner city kids, and let me tell you what,
sometimes it was a very appropriately named little town. there
are a lot of pretty lakes there though. and they have this
great picture of the devil stealing a woman, w/ holes to insert
your own devil face. there are flames painted on the general
store. :-)
i just got back from claremont, california last night and it
is sooooo wonderful there. i loved the school, the people, the
village. now i just get to wait around being nervous until they
send out scholarship info. the icing on the cake: at the
seminary students' open mike night on friday, a girl played a
beautiful rendition of latter days! i knew it was coming; the
second she sat down at the piano i thought to myself, "this girl
is going to play an otr song". yaaay. i talked to her
afterwards & she said she went to cincinnati music conservatory.
can't remember her name though.
california, i'm coming home.
(its very very cold in ohio right now :-(
