i remember those local commercials being on even more
than 20 years ago(between '79 and '81). there is a
different acronym that new yorkers used and southern
new englanders used when i was in school. for the life
of me, i can't remember them. but i wonder if the
whole concept of a cash machine was test marketed
first in in philly - the girl of whom i speak was
raised in the paramus, nj area, yet i think "mac" was
a philly phenomenon. it always stuck me as odd.
sorry. i have not used nor have had a cash card in
nearly 4 years and probably never will use the
technology again. maybe that's why the history seems
so interesting.
or that's it's a couple hours before a three-day
