RE: OTR in Lancaster, Pa.
The Chameleon Club's website
(http://www.chameleonpa.com) confirms today that
Over the Rhine will be playing at 7 p.m. March 9.
Tickets are $10. Someone named Jennie Stearns is
opening (David, does this mean you and SPEK are
out?).
Just FYI -- this is the first of two shows that
night. OTR is an all-age show; at 10:30,
Chorduroy will be playing an over-21 show.
So there you have it. I will be there with a
friend who's very excited to see OTR but not an
avid fan.

AND THIS IS MY HOME TOWN! well...i called blair @ 'big walk up', OtR's
booking agent(?). he told me that since OtR is doing an 'acoustic' show,
(meaning karin, linford & jack) they can't have a 'band' open for them.
(there's just three of us as well. but since we have 'drums'...we're a
'band') the point he was making is, there would be too much required for
miking & set changes. so they're having jennie stearns & her husband open
for them. (they'll also be opening for them on several dates, including the
show two days prior @ the tin angel in philly) plus...as you noted & blair
confirmed, OtR is doing only ONE 'early' show & must be finished 'on time'
for the second show at 10.30 by 'chorduroy'. if they had two openers, that
would severely limit their time on stage. i for one wouldn't want that to
happen. as blair said to me, "under different circumstances, it sounds like
it would be a great idea." knowing that...i can only 'hope' something in the
future might work out.
tranquilly,
david
ps: linford, have you watched our video yet?
