on the meaning of flint

i know this comes quite late in the game...but alas, i was in school as you
were discussing...anyway, a few of you expressed interest reagarding how to
interpret my question...
i read the word flint, and many images came to mind. i initially thought of
fire creator... possibly an album that instigates conversation. but when i
posed the question to the list i had another idea in mind... i envisioned a
man happening across this flint piece, and experiencing a revolution. at
first he uses it a lot... plays with the new tool that has many
applications. he discovers its enduring qualities and takes comfort in this
stability. he puts the flint tool in his pocket, having recognized its
inherent value, as the novelty wears away. he goes on experiencing life. and
then one night he is with a group of acquaintances who have nothing to do
but be inspired, or a few close friends who could use some assurance, or one
intimate friend who he would like to share the beauty of his treasure, or he
is alone and either in anxiety or peace he finds that he needs a little
warmth. so he reaches for his flint tool and is reminded of its infinite
applications and timeless virtues.

so, i see this as an album which reminds me of who i am, bears wisdom
(obvious and that which must remain undiscovered for later) and yields
itself to many events/people (take your pick).
