Re: "The Case of the Found CD's"

Greetings, programs,

Well, I'm not sure what my flint would be; probably something by Peter Gabriel
like Passion or Us (actually, it would be the Best of collection I made myself,
but I don't know if that's kosher in the context of this question. ;-)).
However, if someone had stolen my sun-visor-cd-holder out of my car this
weekend, this is what they would have ended up with: Dar Williams _Out There
Live_, Feyerabend _Clocktime Presupposes a Spacial Machine_, Eddie From Ohio
_Portable efo Show, Disc 1_, Peter Mulvey _Rapture_, Peter Gabriel best of
1986-2000 (my own selection), Jim Infantino best of (also my own selection),
The Push Stars best of (same), Over the Rhine live at the Ark, Sarah McLachlan
_Rarities, B-Sides & Other Stuff_, Vigilantes of Love _VoL_. I think that's
it. I wonder what picture of me they would reconstruct out of that? Of course,
it'll be a different list next time I go on a trip, and there's a selection
effect in that road-trip music tends to be different from what I listen to
in my room or at work, but it is a cross-section of what I listen to, at
some angle.

See ya,
