my top 5 - i'll keep it to those that were released this year, just to make it easier on me:

#1 gord downie; coke machine glow (the book too!)

the rest, in alphabetical order (don't make me have to choose!):
over the rhine; films for radio
radiohead; amnesiac
stereo mc's; deep down & dirty
tricky; blowback

as for top five of all time...well, i refuse to try to decide.
