Bacon-And-Liverwurst Canapes

Ingredients

1/2 pound Liverwurst
2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
1/4 Teaspoon Thyme
1 Tablespoon,Chives, snipped
18 each 2-Inch Bread Rounds Cut From Thin Bread Slices
Butter, Softened
3 Slices Bacon


 

Instructions
Blend together liverwurst, mayonnaise, thyme, and chives. Use cookie cutter to cut rounds from thin slices of bread. Spread rounds with softened butter, then with liverwurst mixture. Cut bacon strips crosswise in 6 pieces each. Lay pieces of bacon on top of liverwurst. Chill until serving time. Broil canapes 2 inches from broiler heat until bacon is crisp, browned, or curled. Serve at once.
