DINNER 35: Saturday, February 4, 2006

This evening, we went to dinner with our friends Ed & Holly to Nick’s Chops & Chasers, where we enjoyed our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, our soups & salads, and thick, boneless, and well-prepared pork chops prepared a variety of ways (Jack Daniel’s glazed, garlic & onion, spiced apple, and normandy). All were excellent.

We decided to take advantage of some of the other culinary offerings in the immediate area (Oakley) and left Nick’s for dessert at Pho Paris, just a block or two down the road. After a brief wait for our table, we were seated and enjoyed wonderful desserts prepared by Summer, the pastry chef at Pho Paris. We sampled the majority of the desserts being offered: Lemongrass Crème Brulee; Bavarois de Vanille; Curried Chocolate Banana Cake; and White Chocolate Passion Fruit Mousse Cake. All were exceptional! We stopped back in the kitchen to offer our congratulations to Summer.
