My current plan is to take this term (Fall 2004) off, and then to take a class or two each subsequent term to keep my hands in it.
Ya know, it’s really hard to be an animal.
Especially one of ours.
For, you see, every now and then Wendy & Drew get a ‘wild hair’ and decide to, for example, buy baby clothes to dress their animals in. And Wendy & Drew bring these baby clothes home, find the one-eyed blind cat, and dress him up in the baby clothes. He doesn’t fuss. He doesn’t fight. He sits perfectly still, but you can tell he’s pissed off because he heats up. His rage heats his little body but he is quiet. Perhaps planning his revenge for some dark night when both Wendy & Drew are sleeping…

And take pictures. But that’s not the worst of it… Then Wendy & Drew post the pictures on Drew’s website for the world to see.
It’s just not fair, is it?
Because of schedule madness, the members of the supper club weren’t able to meet during July. So we decided to do the first-ever “Happy Mouth Double-Header” in August.
So, in August, we met for lunch, a mid-afternoon activity, and dinner. It was a blast! Chuck & Holly picked (July & August, respectively). Chuck selected FAT FISH BLUE at Newport on the Levee where we enjoyed traditional New Orlean’s style food. A highlight was the “Carpetbagger” dessert that Wendy got — a chocolate ‘bag’ filled with chunks of cake, fruit, white chocolate mousse, and topped with whipped cream. Yum.
Our ‘afternoon activity’ was a trip to Newport Aquarium. Our group had a blast!
For dinner, we dined at Holly’s choice, Teak Thai restaurant in Mt. Adams. We dined on great mussels, sushi, and oriental dishes.
A great time was had by all!

After much deliberation and testing, I’ve decided to switch this site from PostNuke ("old ‘n busted") to Xaraya ("the new hotness") as the software driving the Content Management System (CMS). The CMS ties all the data of the site together and presents it in a useful fashion. Changing CMSs is akin to changing the engine in your car… It’s the main part that makes things go.
Exploring this new software, you will notice several changes…

To help you understand the 'smilies' that are so popular on the internet (as well as on this very site), we present these instructional cats:
I am testing software on this site which may cause an inconvenience for users who wish to post comments while using Internet Explorer. Users of other browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, etc) will not experience this issue.
If you are using Internet Explorer and wish to post a comment, you will see a window pop up that says undefined. If you click "OK", you'll see another window with some other text and will be able to enter your comment after clicking "OKAY" in that window. If you click "CANCEL" in the very first window that pops up, you'll be able to enter your comment.
I know this is a bother, but the developers are working on that bug right now and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Please let me know of any questions.
